Production Update & Find us at Gen Con

Doom Guard production is continuing apace. Our manufacturers are very meticulous and pore over every file with fine-toothed comb to attempt to avoid delays down the road. With so many components over several products, this is a pretty painstaking task, but we hope you'll appreciate the attention to detail.
While we still don't have a definitive date for delivery, we are looking at October to begin shipping and we'll share a confirmation with you as soon as we have it. This campaign is being fulfilled direct from China, and our partners there are preparing to build their shipping plan as soon as possible. Once we have that, we will be able to add the shipping info to backerkit, charge for shipping, lock down orders and cross our fingers for a smooth delivery!
Thanks so much for your patient support through this long development process. This is our first board game product, and we've learned a lot about the process we didn't before we started (even with the many successfully delivered campaigns we've managed). We're really looking forward seeing our game released to you all as soon as possible.

P.S. We'll be at Gen Con. The PEG Panel will be on Saturday at 5pm in Marriott Tennessee. Grab a free ticket here.

Production Update: Alien Invasion improvements
3 months ago
– Mon, Jun 01, 2026 at 08:55:27 AM
Hello, backers!
First and foremost, we're long overdue for an update, so thank you for your patience!
This year has been a difficult one for Pinnacle. Several members of our team have faced major health challenges, and as a result we've unfortunately fallen behind our estimated timeline for Doom Guard.
The good news is that the RPG side of this project has progressed very smoothly. The board game side, however, has proven more complex than we originally anticipated.
As anyone who has worked on a board game can tell you, there are dozens of individual components that all need to work together seamlessly. Between the core game and expansions, Doom Guard contains a tremendous number of cards, tokens, scenarios, and gameplay systems that all needed testing, refinement, and balancing.
The Alien Invasion expansion in particular went through several additional design iterations. We wanted it to feel distinct from both the core game and Legions of Hell, offering its own unique challenges and gameplay experience rather than simply feeling like "more of the same." Achieving that required more design work, balancing, and testing than we originally anticipated.
The important news is that this work is now complete.
All files are currently with our printers for review, proofing, and sampling. Once that process is finished and we have approved final samples, we'll be able to establish a firm production and delivery timeline.
While we aren't ready to commit to a specific date just yet, we still anticipate delivery occurring before the end of the year. As soon as we have a definitive schedule from our manufacturing partners, we'll share it with you immediately.
We know you've been waiting a long time, and we truly appreciate your patience and support. Doom Guard has become a bigger and better game because of the extra attention it has received, and we're excited to finally be entering the final stages of production.
Thank you for sticking with us, and we'll be back with another update as soon as we have proofs and samples to share.

Production Update: Files Submitted to the Printer!

Hello, Superheroes!
Time has flown since the end of the Doom Guard campaign, and we wanted to share where things stand.
The Doom is advancing, but in a good way!
Since the campaign closed, we’ve been hard at work finalizing the many components across the core game and both expansions. As you can imagine, a project like this includes a lot of moving parts--cards, tokens, boards, scenarios, and other components--all of which have needed careful review, refinement, and polishing. It’s taken longer than we originally hoped, but our goal has always been to make sure Doom Guard delivers the quality this game deserves.
The good news is that we’re very happy with how everything is looking, and all files are now in the hands of our printing partners. We had excellent face-to-face meetings with them at the GAMA trade show, and everything is progressing positively for the books, the components, and all the extras.
From here, the next stage is working through the printer’s prep process, reviewing proofs, making any necessary corrections, and approving files for production. As samples begin to come back, we’ll be excited to share photos and updates with you so you can see the game taking shape.
At the same time, we’ll also be preparing for the shipping phase of the campaign. As that process develops, we’ll be able to finalize shipping rates for different regions and lock those in with our fulfillment partners around the world.
Thank you again for your patience and support! We know it’s been a long road, but we’re excited to finally be moving into this next phase and to share more with you soon.

– Wed, Dec 17, 2025 at 01:17:13 PM
Hey Heroes,
Digital File Delivery
The forces of darkness lashed out and delayed the file release for some of you, but that should be cleared up now. Final files on PEGINC and DTRPG should be in your accounts barring us not knowing your DTRPG email or you not having a PEGINC account or what-not. The PM has a question about your DTRPG email and we can use this to fulfill any of you who did not get your rewards today in one more pass before we ship, automatically, or you can reach out to [email protected] to request those files if you're in a rush to save the world from impending doom.
Whew!
BackerKit pledge manager OPEN!
NOW on to the fun stuff. We've also opened the BackerKit pledge manager for this campaign!
You should have received an email inviting you to the pledge manager. If not, this link should allow you to retrieve your access invitation:
The pledge manager should allow you to fix any mistakes with your pledge. Get some add-ons. Upgrade to a higher pledge level (you might have to email us to accomplish this, which is fine!).
We'll leave the pledge manager open until just before shipping physical rewards. This campaign is a PAY SHIPPING LATER set up, so we'll have final shipping costs figured out closer to delivery and allow you to pay for shipping THEN.
This is also the launch of our PRE-ORDER store, so please share with your gaming friends what you're excited about for Doom Guard and why they should join the fun with you.
Thanks for coming on this adventure with us!

Hey Supes -
We've delivered final files for Doom Guard and any add-ons to your PEGINC and DTRPG accounts. If you didn't have an existing PEGINC.COM account, we created a new one with your Kickstarter email.
You can access your PDFs here:
https://peginc.com/my-account/downloads/
Some email addresses don't make for allowed usernames, so if that's you, simply make an account at PEGINC (same link as above) and email us at [email protected] and we'll assign your digital rewards.
We hope you enjoy printing out those STLs over the holiday, dive into the lore of Doom Guard and Necessary Evil, and for those new to Savage Worlds, flip through our Core Rules and Super Powers Companion.
Production on the Core Game and Expansions is going along well!
Cheers friends!
